Whatever I'm making - if it's a light poem, a painting or a fire poem, I'm thinking about how to give a poem physical form- like an expanded version of Guillaume Apollinaire's ideas of concrete poetry, where the poem becomes an art object.

The American artist Daniel Arsham, re-examines the concept of permanence, continuing to develop his own temporality, inherent in his artistic practice. He has worked on memory and time since his beginnings — a hurricane which he survived in Miami in 1992 made him more sensitive to this idea of finitude — notably developed by reproductions of objects that dealt with obsolescence.

Rémy De Haenen

Rémy de Haenen is a French artist, born in Martinique, which he called home, along with St Barth, until he was 17 years old. Descendant of a family that arrived in the islands centuries ago, his childhood was deeply marked and influenced by the cultural diversity, freedom, colors, sea, sky, and creatures of the Islands, in particular, St Barth and his family’s long legacy there. Rémy de Haenen’s works are imagined scenes related to his islands, nature, memories, pastimes, and the contrast between childhood and adult life.
