Art at The Lanesborough
Rebecca Gouldson
Rebecca is passionate about image making in metal, combining and pushing the boundaries of techniques from a variety of creative traditions. She makes metal wall pieces for private, corporate and public clients, on a variety of scales, from the domestic to the architectural. Images are captured using acid etching and chemical patination, creating contrasting eroded and polished surfaces. She uses a range of methods to make her pieces, including etching with images of enlarged mono-prints, revealing energetic mark-making, or the patterns of ink as it’s dragged across a glass surface by a roller. Rebecca’s work is influenced by the beauty of historic industrial architecture, machinery and tools.
