Your safe stay with us

Jumby Bay Island is closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic and our foremost priority is the health and comfort of our guests and team members.

In addition to implementing new hygiene and safety measures, we have developed specific protocols for the following procedures, strictly adhering to the public health guidelines of the Antigua and Barbuda Government, to ensure your stay with us is safe and secure:

Safety measures

Private Island Sanctuary

300-acre island with its natural abundance of space provides for easy physical distancing.

Countless opportunities for memorable experiences (private dinners, beach picnics, nature walks, biking etc.)

Private, restricted access with 24/7 discreetly observed security protocols in place.

Guest Wellness

• Fully vaccinated arriving passengers can present a RT PCR test negative result of four (4) days or fewer from date of testing, OR an approved Rapid Antigen test negative result of (3) or fewer days from date of testing to be permitted entry into Antigua and Barbuda. • Partially vaccinated arriving passengers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (real time polymerase chain reaction) test for SARS-CoV-2 using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab taken within four (4) days of their flight. (This includes transiting passengers). • All arriving passengers including returning nationals and residents are required to have received at least one dose of a World Health Organization (WHO) or Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) approved 2-dose COVID 19 vaccine or a single dose vaccine to be permitted entry into Antigua and Barbuda. Children below the age of eighteen (18) years arriving at a port of entry are exempted from this requirement. • Unvaccinated minors between the ages of 2 and 18 years old must present a negative RT PCR test of four days or fewer from date of testing. • In addition to the above, all guests arriving to Jumby Bay Island who have had a pre-stay at an on-island location, or on a private yacht, must: a) Provide a new approved Rapid Antigen test negative result if your initial COVID test result (presented on entry to Antigua) is more than 4 days old.

Port Health

Passengers arriving by sea over 18 years of age are required to have received at least the first dose of a vaccine approved by the appropriate authorities in Antigua & Barbuda (private yachts/ferry services). They also are subject to quarantine according to guidelines issued by Port Health. Guests arriving to Jumby Bay Island via private yacht will also be required to provide a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within four (4) days of their arrival.

Face Mask

All arriving passengers must wear a face mask on disembarkation and in all public areas. Additionally, the wearing of face masks in public spaces is mandatory throughout Antigua and Barbuda and social/physical distancing protocols must be adhered to.

Temperature checks at the airport on arrival by the Antigua airport and health authorities.

"Meet & Greet" Service

Fast track through the airport by dedicated representative wearing PPE.

Pre-arrival online registration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment mandatory for persons travelling to Antigua and Barbuda.

Departure Testing

COVID-19 testing for departing guests has also been made simple for our guests.

For departing guests needing a COVID-19 RT-PCR test, this is done via the Mount Saint John's Medical Center. Guests are asked to register and pay online here to confirm an appointment at least five (5) business days prior to their departure from Antigua. Once the appointment is confirmed, testing will be conducted on Jumby Bay Island.

For guests needing a COVID-19 Antigen (rapid) test, this can be arranged on property via the Concierge.
