Jumby Bay Island is closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic and our foremost priority is the health and comfort of our guests and team members.
In addition to implementing new hygiene and safety measures, we have developed specific protocols for the following procedures, strictly adhering to the public health guidelines of the Antigua and Barbuda Government, to ensure your stay with us is safe and secure:

Guest Wellness
Covid-19 RT-PCR
- Arriving guests are no longer required to present proof of vaccination.
- Fully vaccinated arriving guests who choose to show verifiable documentation of full vaccination using World Health Organization (WHO) or Ministry of Health and Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) approved 2-dose vaccine are not required to show proof of a negative covid test to enter Antigua and Barbuda and Jumby Bay Island. o To be considered fully vaccinated, at least two (2) weeks (14 days) must have passed since the administration of the full vaccine regimen. Booster shots are not required.
- Vaccines approved by the appropriate authorities in Antigua and Barbuda are: AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience & Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Moderna (Pikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac and Sputnik V.
- Partially or Unvaccinated passengers are required to submit a negative Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) within three (3) days of arrival OR a Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours of arrival. o Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) or Rapid Antigen Tests for SARS-COV-2 must be done using a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal swab by a medical professional.
- Letters of Recovery are not valid for entry. Self-administered/Home test kits are not valid for entry.
Port Health
The above requirements also apply to all guests arriving to Jumby Bay Island who have had a pre-stay at an on- island location, or on a private yacht.
Face Masks
The wearing of face masks in any crowded public spaces is encouraged throughout Antigua and Barbuda and social/ physical distancing protocols should be adhered to.
Health
Temperature checks at the airport on arrival by the Antigua airport and health authorities.
"Meet & Greet" Service
Fast track through the airport by dedicated representative wearing PPE.
Check-in
Pre-arrival online registration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment mandatory for persons travelling to Antigua and Barbuda.
Departure Testing
Jumby Bay Island facilitates seamless COVID-19 testing for our departing guests.
COVID-19 RT-PCR testing:
• Guests who need this test are asked to register and pay online here via the Mount Saint John's Medical Center (MSJMC). This must be done at least five (5) business days prior to departure from Antigua, in order to secure an appointment.
• Once the appointment is confirmed by the MSJMC, testing will be conducted on Jumby
Bay Island.
• In order to facilitate on-property testing there is a swabbing fee which will be
applied to the final guest bill.
o $55 per person for swabs taken Monday through Friday at 4pm
o $80 for swabs taken Friday after 4pm through Sunday and local public holidays
• Results are emailed directly to guests from the MSJMC. COVID-19 Antigen (rapid)
testing:
• Guests who need this test are asked to contact the Resort Concierge at least two (2)
business days prior to their departure from Antigua.
• COVID-19 Antigen (rapid) testing is conducted on Jumby Bay Island daily.
• There is a fee $170 per person, which will be applied to the final guest bill.
• In order to confirm a testing appointment, we require a copy of guests’ passport bio
pages and return travel itineraries.
• Results are available within 45 minutes and are emailed to guests by the Concierge
within 2hrs.

Health
Temperature checks before the start of each shift.
Cleaning
Sanitation of uniforms and footwear before the start of each shift and mandatory use of masks and PPE.
Education
Comprehensive training on new health and safety protocols, on proper wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE – masks, face shields, gloves) and reinforced training on the importance of handwashing, cleaning, and physical distancing guidelines.
Digital Innovations
F&B
Use of Jumby Bay App to display menus (F&B, Activities, Spa etc.) for guests to view on personal mobile devices.
Registration
Keyless access to accommodations with revised registration and check out protocols.
Etiquette & Emergency Response Protocols
Protection
Handshaking replaced by a nod and a smile.
Social Distancing
Physical distancing with mitigation protocols as found necessary (i.e. signage indicators, limiting occupancy in restaurants, boutique, spa, pool decks, gym etc.)
Health Measures
Medical personnel available on site 24/7 (Nurse and/or First Responders). Fast track access to private medical clinics on the Island.
Enhanced Hygiene and Sanitation
Certification
Property inspected and certified by Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Health and Ministry of Tourism as safe to operate, with all required protocols in place.
Hygiene
Increased cleaning, sanitation, and personal hygiene protocols, starting with luggage handling, private car and ferry transfer to the island, continuing throughout the entire resort and the island experience. Hand sanitizers available throughout all areas.
Cleaning
Use of cleaning products containing disinfectant and high temperature steamers and ozone machines to sanitize. High priority on air quality and our A/C systems to enhance their effectiveness, cleanliness, and sanitation.
