Jumby Bay Island is closely monitoring the Covid-19 pandemic and our foremost priority is the health and comfort of our guests and team members.
In addition to implementing new hygiene and safety measures, we have developed specific protocols for the following procedures, strictly adhering to the public health guidelines of the Antigua and Barbuda Government, to ensure your stay with us is safe and secure:
Private Island Sanctuary

• Fully vaccinated arriving passengers can present a negative nasopharyngeal Covid-19 RT-PCR test result of four (4) days or fewer from date of testing, OR an approved Rapid Antigen test negative result of three (3) or fewer days from date of testing to be permitted entry into Antigua and Barbuda. Please note this is valid until 7 December, 2021, after which time only RT-PCR test results of three (3) days or fewer will be accepted for entry into Antigua and Barbuda and Rapid Antigen tests will no longer be accepted.
• Partially vaccinated arriving passengers (receiving one dose of an approved 2-dose vaccine) must present a negative nasopharyngeal Covid-19 RT-PCR test result of four (4) days or fewer from date of testing. Please note this is valid until 14 December, 2021 after which time only FULLY vaccinated passengers will be granted entry to Antigua and Barbuda.
• All arriving passengers eighteen (18) years and older are required to have received at least one dose of a World Health Organization (WHO) or Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment (MOHWE) approved 2-dose COVID 19 vaccine or a single-dose vaccine to be permitted entry into Antigua and Barbuda. Please note this is valid until 14 December 2021, after which time all arriving passengers must be fully vaccinated to be granted entry. Children below the age of eighteen (18) are exempted from this vaccine requirement.
o Minors ages 2 – 17 are required to present a negative nasopharyngeal Covid-19 RT-PCR test result of three (3) days or fewer from date of testing.
In addition to the above, all guests arriving to Jumby Bay Island who have had a pre-stay at an on-island location, or on a private yacht, must provide a new negative result of an approved Rapid Antigen test negative result if their initial COVID test result (presented on entry to Antigua) is more than 3 days old.
Passengers arriving by sea over 18 years of age are required to have received at least the first dose of a vaccine approved by the appropriate authorities in Antigua & Barbuda (private yachts/ferry services). They also are subject to quarantine according to guidelines issued by Port Health. Guests arriving to Jumby Bay Island via private yacht will also be required to provide a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken within four (4) days of their arrival.
All arriving passengers must wear a face mask on disembarkation and in all public areas. Additionally, the wearing of face masks in public spaces is mandatory throughout Antigua and Barbuda and social/physical distancing protocols must be adhered to.
Temperature checks at the airport on arrival by the Antigua airport and health authorities.

Fast track through the airport by dedicated representative wearing PPE.
Pre-arrival online registration with the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment mandatory for persons travelling to Antigua and Barbuda.
COVID-19 testing for departing guests has also been made simple for our guests.
For departing guests needing a COVID-19 RT-PCR test, this is done via the Mount Saint John's Medical Center. Guests are asked to register and pay online here to confirm an appointment at least five (5) business days prior to their departure from Antigua. Once the appointment is confirmed, testing will be conducted on Jumby Bay Island.
For guests needing a COVID-19 Antigen (rapid) test, this can be arranged on property via the Concierge.
Temperature checks before the start of each shift.
Sanitation of uniforms and footwear before the start of each shift and mandatory use of masks and PPE.
Comprehensive training on new health and safety protocols, on proper wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE – masks, face shields, gloves) and reinforced training on the importance of handwashing, cleaning, and physical distancing guidelines.
Use of Jumby Bay App to display menus (F&B, Activities, Spa etc.) for guests to view on personal mobile devices.
Keyless access to accommodations with revised registration and check out protocols.
Etiquette & Emergency Response Protocols
Handshaking replaced by a nod and a smile.
Physical distancing with mitigation protocols as found necessary (i.e. signage indicators, limiting occupancy in restaurants, boutique, spa, pool decks, gym etc.)
Medical personnel available on site 24/7 (Nurse and/or First Responders). Fast track access to private medical clinics on the Island.
Enhanced Hygiene and Sanitation
Property inspected and certified by Antigua and Barbuda Ministry of Health and Ministry of Tourism as safe to operate, with all required protocols in place.
Increased cleaning, sanitation, and personal hygiene protocols, starting with luggage handling, private car and ferry transfer to the island, continuing throughout the entire resort and the island experience. Hand sanitizers available throughout all areas.
Use of cleaning products containing disinfectant and high temperature steamers and ozone machines to sanitize. High priority on air quality and our A/C systems to enhance their effectiveness, cleanliness, and sanitation.
