SUSTAINABILITY
We strive for sustainability in everything we do
Because it is first and foremost a company made up of men and women. Because it welcomes guests from all corners of the world, and finally, because it is an exceptional place, Le Bristol Paris, a jewel of the Oetker Collection, has long chosen to actively engage in a social and eco-responsible approach.

Responsible consumption
By incorporating Be Wtr™ through AQTiV+ carafes in its restaurants and bottled options in its rooms, Le Bristol Paris achieves a significant ecological milestone by becoming the first palace to produce its own water.
Eliminating single-use plastic
Committed to reducing plastic, we've eliminated unnecessary packaging and opted for sustainable materials. We also provide reusable water bottles to our employees and have installed 17 water fountains to reduce plastic bottle waste.
Waste management
Collaborating with an on-site waste sorting provider 6 days a week, we ensure proper waste separation. Room and office bags are opened and sorted to avoid pre-sorting errors. Additionally, an employee recycling center was established in 2023. We now sort over 15 waste types.
Responsible amenities
Reflecting our commitment to sustainability, we offer eco-friendly products in our rooms and spa. Bamboo combs, cornstarch shower caps, organic cotton and FSC-certified cork slippers, and vegan flip-flops are just a few examples of our environmental efforts.
Energy efficiency
Optimising energy, we're insulating our building and replacing equipment. We've switched to LED lighting and high-efficiency cooling systems. Additionally, we use underground water for cooling and heat recovery from technical installations to heat our pool.
Reasonable use of water
When you stay with us, your sheets and towels are changed every two days by default. If you don't want this, you can let us know by placing a sign on your bed. This action, however trivial it may seem, results in significant water and energy savings. In the same spirit of rational consumption, we favor water-saving equipment and have chosen drip irrigation for our garden.
Natural treatments at the Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie
Tata Harper, a high-end brand of all-natural cosmetics, is now featured in one of our cabins. To enhance your healthy beauty ritual, we also offer Kure Bazaar nail polishes, which are free of petrochemicals and up to 90% bio-sourced, as well as Lazartigue hair care products, made with natural and vegan ingredients.
Living Garden
Le Bristol Paris garden is a veritable eco-friendly ecosystem, planted with species mostly born around Paris, and requiring no chemical fertilizers or excessive watering. Designed to offer a true concentrate of nature in the heart of Paris, every tree and flower has been selected to encourage biodiversity. An insect hotel has also been installed. To shape, embellish and protect this green setting, the Bristol's gardeners continue to use only plant-based, biodegradable products that have no impact on the planet.
Le Bristol Paris Beehives
On the roof of the palace, 6 hives house bees that produce a delicious honey. In 2022, this golden nectar was awarded two gold medals at the honey competition of Île-de-France, in the "liquid spring" and "liquid summer" categories. It was also awarded the "Fabriqué à Paris" (Made in Paris) label.

Bed & bath linen
When staying at Le Bristol Paris, you have the option of not changing your bed and bath linen daily. This action is part of our desire to protect the environment and enables significant savings in water and energy.
Human rights
Parity at work
At Le Bristol Paris, we are committed to promoting professional equality. We are proud to have a gender equality index of 97%. This is reflected in the large number of women in positions of responsibility: for example, the Executive Committee is made up of a majority of women.
Professional development
As part of its commitment to service excellence, Le Bristol Paris is committed to the ongoing training of its staff. A variety of professional training courses enable them to develop their skills and acquire new knowledge. Cross-training opportunities encourage the sharing of expertise between different departments and with other establishments in the Oetker Collection.
Employee of the month
Each month, an outstanding employee is selected as "Employee of the Month." This recognition includes a bonus, a certificate, and a Michelin-starred lunch at the 114 Faubourg brasserie with the Executive Committee and other winners from the same quarter. The "Employee of the Month" is also eligible for the "Employee of the Year" award, which includes a five-night all-expenses-paid stay at the Oetker Collection hotel of their choice.
Integration
Upon arrival, new employees are given an onboarding day to familiarize themselves with the hotel's history and their work environment, all in a friendly atmosphere. After successfully completing their probationary period, they can enjoy a customer experience by staying at the hotel with a person of their choice, including one night, dinner at the 114 Faubourg restaurant, a drink at the Bar and breakfast in their room.
Convivial events
At Le Bristol Paris, the year is punctuated by various moments of sharing and celebration. The traditional staff party brings together all employees in a festive atmosphere, marking the start of summer. The Over 20s dinner, meanwhile, rewards the loyalty of our longest-serving staff members. For families, open days are an opportunity to discover our beautiful home, while the children's party delights the youngest with entertainment and Christmas gifts. We also pay special attention to trainees and apprentices, offering them breakfast and dinner respectively.
La Casa
In partnership with "La Casa", Le Bristol Paris facilitates access to housing for its future employees. Because we are aware that accommodation in Paris can be an obstacle to mobility, we have chosen to offer a solution that is not only affordable and practical, but also encourages the creation of social links, exchanges and integration, both in Paris and, by extension, within our establishment.

Social responsibility
Bathroom products
We collect bar and gel soaps for the association Clean The World. They are then recycled and distributed around the world to help people from poor backgrounds and offer them access to hygiene. Since the beginning of our collaboration, more than one ton of soap has been collected and recycled. This year, more than 200 kg of soaps have been recycled.
Giving Bag x AIDES
We offer our customer the possibility to donate clothes to a charity. We collaborate with the AIDES association - Member of the International Aids Coalition - which organizes two sales per year in the aim of selling the collected clothes and donating the profits to the fight against AIDS.
Our labels and certifications
Le Bristol Paris has been awarded the Green Key label, first international sustainable tourism label, for 2024. We are now among the 1564 establishments committed to sustainable tourism and dining in France, and were the first palace with this prestigious label.
Since 2014, Le Bristol Paris has been awarded the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (Living Heritage Company) label, the only state recognition aimed at promoting French companies with excellent craftsmanship and industrial know-how. This label honors the work, technical skills and creativity of our craftsmen, true committed players in our responsible policy.
10 km des étoiles
In 2023, more than fifty employees from Le Bristol Paris participated in the " Les 10 kms des Etoiles" race, which is dedicated to hotel and restaurant professionals. This race supports the fight against blood and bone marrow cancer as well as Williams and Beuren syndrome.
